HyperHippie Soft Launch 1/2/12

Today we launched a new Technology and Internet News Blog called HyperHippie.com.  Not a lot to say really, except check it out and let us know what you think so far. 58% of our audience during trials were from the USA with with 40% being from the UK and less than 1% from Ireland.  We did kinda keep it quiet here though. Despite our silence we have been receiving quite a promising number of daily hits.  We reckon by the time America goes to sleep today we will have exceeded 1000 page views.  Were already surpassing 700 as we post this. Anyway I will be referring to HyperHippie.com from...

SOPA is Shelved So What Now?

The Internet Community managed to get SOPA shelved for now, but what’s next.  Are there any alternatives?  Our new tec blog asks this question. But now that SOPA is all but gone, we still need to address the issues that brought it about in the first place.  Those responsible for bringing SOPA to us will not rest until they get some satisfaction, and rightly so.  Piracy is a big problem, it costs industries many millions each year, some would say that the best way to stop piracy would be for the industries in question to lower their prices.  We do see some merit in this, yet...

Putting Your Business On Line (PDF)

I often get asked to recommend a web hosting company but I never get asked any details on choosing a domain name, frankly I wish I did.  A domain name is probably much more important than a hosting company, although choosing a good hosting company is imperative. I have put together a couple of pages for you to use as a guide to both choosing a hosting company and deciding on a domain name.  I have taken them from an upcoming guide that I’m writing so I would appreciate any honest feedback you might find the time to give.  Thank you so much in advance. @GregoryDonaghy ___Download...
