Thank you so much for your equally motivational comment, and yes, you are absolutely right. Every year is "The Year of the Entrepreneur" for many. I admire what you do in Bolton Trust, may it be a continued success this year and indeed every year.

Warmest Regards

Gregory

Relevant and motivational comments. But, is not every year the year of the entrepreneur? When someone decides to launch themselves and their ideas on the market they don't usually pick a time. Many successful companies commenced trading in recessionary times and thrived, in spite of it. We established our business in a recession and I do not think that it had any effect on us, at the time. The passion to succeed and establish are never diminished by economic times, rather it sharpens the resolve.
In the Bolton Trust we will again launch a number of entrepreneurs this year. For them it certainly will be, "The year of the Entrepreneur!"

Beginnings

This date resounds forever to our glory,
A poet President inaugurated
To speak us words of hope, so rarely stated
And write another verse in Ireland’s story.
Michael, you fill us all with inspiration,
You dare to challenge us to high endeavour
And bid us forge those links, that will not sever,
Of friendship, peace and true cooperation.
We thank you for your eloquent oration
Those words you spoke encourage us forever
And fill us with a feeling of elation.

In recent times, we Irish had forgotten
The true foundations of our inner being
So much corruption, little overseeing
The legacy of greed has made things rotten.
We witnessed such low standards in high places,
Both Church and State have rent it all asunder,
The builders and the bankers and the blunder
Of politicians at the Galway races.
We see the weariness in people’s faces
Weighed down by debt and starting to go under
Wondering who is holding all the aces.

We have a chance to make a new beginning,
Inspired by this great leader we elected.
Tear down the house of cards that we erected
Reverse the downward spiral and start winning.
Our wealth is in our talents and our sharing
Our land of green and lovely panorama
Our music and our poetry and drama
Our culture and our customs and our caring.
So let us seek, with courage and with daring
To fashion a collective diorama
With Peace and Love in everlasting pairing.

Here's a story for your spamming archive.
I was recently contacted by a person who considered he had been spammed by me when I sent him an email newsletter. He claimed that he hadn't opted in. He used some colourful language, describing me as an "unmerciful gobshite" etc.
I felt I had to contact him so I called the number on the email he sent me. More colourful language when I introduced myself.
I asked him if he ran a certain printing company with his brother. He said yes. I asked him did he recently complete a large print job for a particular company (mine!) and he said yes. I then informed him that his brother had specifically asked to be included--and for him to be included on our email newsletter and gave me both of their email addresses.
Silence at the other end.
And of course, there is silence at my end whenever his brother tries to call me to win more printing work....
